Scroll down to view Partner Letters from past monthsMarch 2008Greetings in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! I know that you are prospering and health even as your soul prospers. I want to encourage you to keep your faith working! It is easy to get so caught up in the business of life that we actually forget to do the things that are necessary to keep our faith moving forward. You have to keep rhema Word coming in as often as you possibly can. Actually, this is what I want to discuss this month. The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about increasing my faith and how to do it. I know, I know, we all know how to increase our faith, Romans 10:17 “faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”. That answer is not incorrect, but it is incomplete. It is interesting when you study the Word, how many places it talks to us about how to increase our faith. First and most importantly faith cometh by hearing the Word of God, I am not at all disagreeing with this truth, but I do want to add truth to it. Let’s look at Jude 20 which says “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost”. Now if I am reading this correctly, we build our faith when we pray in the Holy Ghost. Think about it, when we pray in the Spirit, the Spirit of God prays through us. God is praying the perfect will of God using our mouth. What a power we have at our disposal! In Luke 17:5 the disciples said, “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith”, so we can assume that the answer that Jesus gives is information on how we can increase our faith. Simple huh? When you read Luke 17:6-10, you see that Jesus teaches us that to increase our faith we have to treat our faith as a servant and keep it “out in the field” working. Don’t take any time off from faith. The Word of God tells us 3 times in the New Testament and 1 time in the Old that we are to LIVE by faith! That means it is full time commitment. It amazes me how many times I have read these scriptures and never put them together as a threefold way to increase our faith. I believe that all three of them are necessary to walk in fully developed faith. Once again, I encourage you to keep your faith increasing and working. February 2008What a time to be alive! The greatest time in all of time, and you and I are right in the middle of it! I believe that we are without a doubt living in the last days. Every prophecy that was given concerning the last days has been fulfilled. I don’t know about you but I am listening for that trumpet every day. I like what Richard Roberts has said that his father, Oral Roberts, told him about waiting for Jesus to return. “Live like He is coming today and work like He isn’t coming for 1,000 years. That’s how we have to live. Ready in our walk with God for Him to return at any moment, and working and planning like we have 1,000 years to reach the lost. I have noticed that it is easier to reach the lost today than it has ever been. It is as if the veil that has been over the eyes of the lost has been lifted. This is what the Word describes in 2 Corinthians 3:14-15, “But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart”. What are you saying Pastor? I am saying, “get out there and preach the Word to the lost. Jesus said, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest”, John 4:35. Now is the time! I hear you, “Pastor, I am not an evangelist”. We are all called to witness. Yes, thee are those with the ministry gift of evangelist, but we are called and anointed to share our witness with the lost. Remember, Mark 16:15, says “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. Are you a ye? Let me help you, yes you are the ye Jesus was talking to. But Pastor, I am shy, I don’t know what to say, excuses, excuses! None of them are good enough to keep you from doing what God has commanded us to do. I want to encourage you to get out there and share your faith. It is not difficult, what does a witness do? A witness just tells what he has seen. I know you can do that. Just tell people what God has done for you. I want to encourage you; the fields are white with the harvest! Let’s get them into the kingdom of God! January 2008I know you are prospering and in health! Wow, 2008! I know that 2007 went quickly for all of us. We saw many things accomplished in the kingdom of God and I am looking forward with great anticipation to this year. God has been opening many doors to us in ministry. We are doing Healing Crusades, Prison Revivals and Bible Studies in Nursing Homes. I want to encourage you to get involved in the work of God in this New Year. I was seeking the face of God this past week and studying a very familiar scripture, Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. I realize that this is not the first, nor will it be the last time you hear me quote this verse. Galatians 6:9 is probably the #1 verse that keeps me pressing in to the things of the Kingdom of God. The thought that I quit 30 seconds before due season, keeps me pushing. I don’t want to get to heaven and watch the video of my life and see me stopping right before my manifestation! I know you don’t want that either! So, how do we keep from growing weary and fainting? That is what the Holy Spirit showed me this past week. 1) We have to stay in the presence of God. Psalm 16:11, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”. It is in the presence of God that we develop our relationship with Him, so that we know Him and trust him. When we don’t stay in his presence, we have no desire to spend time in His Word. 2) We have to keep ourselves built up in the Word. Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. If faith “cometh” by the Word, then faith “goeth” without the Word. When we don’t keep ourselves built up in the Word we begin to look at the circumstances instead o f the promises! 3) We have to keep looking at the promise not the problem. 2 Corinthians 4:18, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal”. Remember that what you can see is subject to change! When you look at the problem instead of the promise you will talk the problem, not the promise. 4) We have to keep speaking the Word. Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. You will have what you say! So make sure you are only speaking Word! December 2007This is always an interesting time of year, all the business that goes along with the Christmas season. It is very important to remember our walk with God during this time of year. I am not telling you to stay away from all the holiday celebration, but I am saying that we cannot afford to back off of our walk with God! I want to share a dream that the Holy Spirit gave me a few weeks ago that I believe illustrates what I am saying. In this dream I was driving a vehicle with other people in it. We were traveling across a bridge when suddenly the bridge collapsed; the vehicle plummeted in to the water below. I remember waking up greatly disturbed. I really never thought about the dream again. A few days later a woman from our church called me and said the she had a very similar dream, and then another woman said the same thing. I began to seek the heart of God concerning these very similar dreams. I believe I received the clarity just a few days ago. The vehicle represents the Body of Christ and the road represents the path that we have been on. I believe the water represents the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is getting the message to us that the way things have been is getting ready to drastically change. The way we used to be able to “get by” is changing. Listen to me beloved; I am telling you by the Spirit of God that it is time to immerse yourself in the Word of God like you never have before. What has been acceptable is changing. Remember what Paul wrote to his young son in the faith, Timothy, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come” 2 Timothy 3:1. We are in these perilous times. Are you trying to scare us? No, not at all, just a warning. There is a drawing from the Spirit of God back into that deep place of prayer and relationship. Do not resist the drawing! Get back to that time of fellowship, of digging in the Word, of immersing yourself in powerful Word of Faith, anointed preaching, and fellowship with those of “like precious faith” 2 Peter 1:1. The Word is very clear that we determine how much of God we can have. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you” James 4:8. It is up to us to make the first move. I encourage you, set time aside to draw nigh to God. I promise you, based on the Word of God; He will draw nigh to you! Elizabeth and I want to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! Keep the Word of God first in your life. November 2007I want to write to you this month to let you know about the things that are going on in our ministry. God is an awesome, faithful God! We are seeing God move in miraculous ways, as only Go can. I am very excited about the Clay City Healing Crusade this Friday night at 7:00pm. We are renting the Clay City Community Center located at 4651 Main St. in Clay City. I am expecting a great outpouring of the Spirit of God with manifested healings! Encourage you to make plans now to attend. This past Sunday night as I was listening to my pastor, Pastor Callahan, preach on faith and healing, the Holy Spirit impressed a truth concerning healing. 1 Corinthians 3:16 tells us that the Spirit of God has made our bodies His temple. If we are His temple then He dwells in every part of our being. We use the expression “Jesus came to live in my heart”. This leaves the impression that our heart is the only place that possesses the presence of God. We know that this is not the case. We need to understand that if God dwells in us then sickness cannot cohabitate with the presence of God! Sickness has NO place in the temple of God. Exodus 12:5 “Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:” Leviticus 1:10 “And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish.” Notice, God would not allow any animal that was even blemished to enter into His temple. If this was true in the Old Testament, how much more in the New! We need the revelation of the truth that NO sickness can stay in the presence of God! You have the same anointing residing in you that was on Jesus. Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” We have the same power in us! Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. We have the same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead! Praise God, we can walk in divine health! October 2007What a time we live in! We are seeing more manifestation on a daily basis than I ever remember in my life. It is definitely a time of acceleration. Don’t miss out on what God is doing in these last days. There is an area of faith that God has been pouring revelation into me concerning. I watch people in the Body of Christ getting frustrated because they are not seeing manifestation on a regular basis. I know this is frustrating when I see it in my life. I don’t like it! Neither should you. Proverbs 13:12 says that “hope deferred maketh the heart sick”. Notice that when our faith is deferred, it makes our heart (spirit) sick. We have to look at our walk of faith and find out what causes our faith to be deferred. I believe that the Holy Spirit has revealed to me why our faith gets deferred. Many times we are believing for things that are greater than what our faith is capable of achieving. When that is the case, we won’t see the manifestation of what we believe for. It will take longer than our soulish man can tolerate. Let’s look at Abram. In Genesis 13:14-15, god promises Abram that He will give him all the land for as far as he can see. This is seeing the “big picture” of the things we believe for, like the $1,000,000 home or the $250,000 car. Next, God tells Abram in verse 17, Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. Now Abram has to put some action with his faith. It is easy to say I am believing for big things, but where the rubber meets the road is when we have to put the individual steps together that are necessary to see the big picture come to pass. Here’s another example; in 1 Samuel 17 we know that David fights the giant Goliath. When Saul confronts him about his ability to beat the giant, David explains that this is not his first battle. He has defeated the lion and the bear. What am I saying? We have to learn to break down our “big” faith wars into smaller manageable battles. Don’t take on the whole problem at once. If you are battling a major sickness, break it down into smaller fights. Fight one symptom at a time. This way, you will gain what I like to call, faith momentum. When you see the smaller battles being won, you have experience for the next battle. You have killed your lion and your bear and this uncircumcised Philistine will be no problem. September 2007It is truly an honor to consider you a partner in this ministry. I do not take it lightly that you have committed yourself to the furtherance of the Gospel together with me. We are seeing many lives touched and changed with the Power and Word of God! Thank you for fellowship together with me in seeing this accomplished. God has been speaking to me over the past few weeks concerning His kingdom. The more I study the Word of God, the more I see that the Kingdom of God is constantly advancing! I preached a message this past Sunday that I entitled “The Kingdom is advancing; Are you?” I believe that is a question we all have to ask ourselves. As I study through the Word I see that if we are operating in the kingdom we have to be constantly advancing! I want you to ask yourself this question; “Am I doing more in and for the Kingdom of God than I was a year ago?” I have asked myself this question many times over the past few weeks. Am I spending better time in prayer and the Word? Am I having more of an effect on people for the kingdom than I was a year ago, or even a month ago? If God is advancing, which He is, than we should be advancing too. Let’s look at Matthew 13:33 which says “Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.” Notice, Jesus is teaching on how the Kingdom of God operates. He says that the kingdom principles will cause things to increase. In another place He teaches that the kingdom is like a grain of mustard seed that becomes greater than all the herbs, ADVANCING! We have to get it into our hearts and minds that in the Kingdom of God, things increase. We should be constantly increasing. I want to encourage you to work on increasing what you are doing in the Kingdom of God. Increase your prayer and Word time, increase you influence on the people you come in contact with, make a difference in the Kingdom! Matthew 6:33 promises that if you will seek first the Kingdom of God, then all the things that He promised will be added to you. I have to look at my life and see if I am truly seeking FIRST the Kingdom of God. If the things aren’t being added to you, then check if you are truly seeking first the Kingdom of God. July 2007I command the blessing of God upon you! I want to begin right away with pronouncing the blessing upon you. When you study through the Old Testament you see over and over, the men of God proclaiming a blessing over God’s people. Our words are powerful, don’t ever forget that! The Holy Spirit began to speak to me last month concerning the power of partnership. I realize that I have talked to you before concerning partnership, but I believe that I have some new insight on the subject. A few weeks ago I was riding my motorcycle listening to Keith Moore teach on Philippians 4:19. In the course of his teaching he confessed this verse. He also led the congregation in the confession, “My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in Glory, by Christ Jesus”. As I listened, the Holy Spirit said, “That’s not what it says”. Now understand that I don’t believe that there is anything wrong with confessing that scripture that way, I have done that for years! But truthfully that is not what it says. Philippians 4:19 says “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. If you will notice, Paul says that “MY GOD”, the God that I trust and know, will supply “YOUR”, the ones who have faithfully partnered with me, needs! We have to gain more revelation understanding of the power of partnership! When you look at the example of the widow and Elijah given to us in 1 Kings 17:8-16, you see that there was a widow that did not have the faith to sustain herself through the famine. She was making plans to eat 1 more meal and die. BUT GOD, brought someone who had seen the supernatural provision of God on a regular basis into her life for her to partner with. God has designed partnership to allow us to access faith and anointings that are greater than what we have in our lives. Hebrews 7:7 states “And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better”. We receive blessing in our lives at a greater level than what we can access on our own when we partner with someone that operates in a stronger anointing or greater level of faith than we do. What an opportunity God has given us! May 2007We are in the middle of the Grace Ministries 2007 Financial Conference, and what a time we are having. The Word is powerful! Pastor Callahan and I are leaving for India to minister with John Paul, our missionary in India. I remember God speaking to me many, many years ago and telling me the things that He was doing in my life. They seemed so impossible and so far from reach. I can tell you that now; I am walking in many of those “impossible” things! God is a faithful God! I would like to ask you to please keep Pastor Callahan and I lifted up in prayer as we travel and minister. I can say just as Paul did in Philippians 1:19-20 that “(19) For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, (20) According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed”. We covet your prayers. God is going to do powerful things in our midst and you are a part of it. I want to remind you to keep before you the revelation that I have been sharing. Everywhere I go I have been preaching about taking dominion in your harvest. The 3 things that you need to do to see increase from your seed. Hebrews 2:1 says “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip”. Don’t let his slip. Elizabeth and I have seen a drastic change in our lives since we began working this Word. 1) Don’t talk to God about money, talk to your harvest and it in, 2) Use your authority and command the devil to release your harvest and 3) Release your angels to go and bring it to you. I am telling you this works. We love you and only want to see God’s best in your life. I speak over your life and command the blessing to rest upon you! April 2007I am so excited about the time you and I live in. The prophets of the Old Testament looked forward to the day that you and I now live in. Think about it, the Old Testament is a just a shadow of what we are living in! When I study the Word of God I see time and time again that we should be seeing manifestation on a daily basis. Psalms 68:19 says “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation”. I have to ask a simple question, “Are you seeing the benefits on a daily basis?” I know, I know, you see God do things for you every day. What I am talking about is the daily manifestation of the promises of God. Let me make it very simple, “Is harvest from your seed coming in every day?” Mark 9:23 tells us “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”. It is time for us to see the “all things”! I have been teaching a series on “Things that hinder Your Faith”. If my faith is not bringing things to pass like the Word promises, I must be doing something that blocks my faith from working. Let me share some of the faith blockers that God has shown to me. According to James 3:13-18, strife allows every evil work to come into your life. Do you think that your faith will be effective with every evil work in manifestation? We cannot give strife ANY place in our lives. In Mark 5:36, if we want to see manifestation we cannot allow fear to manifest in any way. We come up with many different names to call fear, but it is still fear. We say things like, I’m concerned, I’m just anxious, or I am frustrated. You must understand that to be frustrated is to say that you don’t believe what God said will come to pass. Mark 11:25-26 let’s us know just how important forgiveness is to having our faith work. It is in the same teaching that Jesus gives about what things so ever you desire… These are just a few of the things that will hinder your faith from working. I will continue next month with a few more areas we need to make sure are in order. I want to see you manifest everything that God has promised you, and it will be by faith. March 2007I have a Word I want to share with you this month that I believe will change your life! I know that the Word I sent you last month has truly changed mine. God has been dealing with me again with that fact that we as believers put up with too much in our lives. We sit and let circumstance dictate to us every day. I tell you, these things should not be so! Genesis 1:26 says that God has given us dominion on this earth. Dominion means “have dominion, prevail against, and reign”. That does not sound like sitting around and taking what the circumstances are dishing out to us. It is time for the Body of Christ to stand up and take authority over our lives. Let’s look at Hebrews 11:3. At first glance it seems as though this verse is proclaiming the great faith God had when He created the heavens and the earth, but when you study the verse in its context it is obvious this is not the case. Hebrews 11:2 says, “For by it the elders obtained a good report”. The subject is what the elders did by faith, not what God did. Verses 4, 5, 7 and 8 all deal with what men of God did by faith. Let’s look at some of the words in verse 3 in the Greek. First, the word “world”, the Greek word is aion, which means ages. The word translated “framed” is the Greek word katartizo which means to complete thoroughly, to repair or to adjust. And finally the word “word” is the Greek word rhema, which means the living Word of God. Now, with the understanding of these 3 Greek words we can see that this verse is not talking about what God can do by faith, but rather what we can do. I like to read this verse this way, “By faith we understand the ages we live in have been, and will be changed by men and woman of God with a rhema Word from God! Think about the history of the church. In the 1400’s a man named Martin Luther got a revelation of “the just shall live by faith”, and the born again experience was restored to the Body of Christ. Just imagine what you can do to your situation with a revelation from God about it. Stop trying to fix it in your power. Stop trying to learn to live with it or adapt your lifestyle to it. CHANGE IT! You have the power of prayer, the power of seed and the power of your words! February 2007It is an honor to be fellow laborers together with you in the gospel of Jesus Christ! The Word of God declares in Philippians 1:5-7, you all are partakers of my grace because of your fellowship in the gospel. The Lord began dealing with me this year while we were attending the Minister’s Conference at Brother Copeland’s in January. It is time for the Body of Christ to bring in the harvest at the level that God has promised. I shared with you last month about what God had said to me concerning 2007. I believe that what I am going to share with you this month is important for you to bring that harvest in. Kenneth Hagin had shared in the past the revelation that God gave him concerning harvest; 1)Don’t talk to God about money, but talk to money about your God, 2) Command the devil to turn loose of your harvest, and 3) Release the angels to go forth and bring in the harvest. I want to share a few scriptures on each of these areas that I believe will transform your manifestation of harvest. I know it has changed mine! 1) Don’t talk to God about money. Deuteronomy 8:18 tells us that God has give us the power to get wealth, not the wealth, but the power to get it. He has put in our possession the power and the right to become as wealthy as we want to be. Joshua 1:8 says the same thing! 2) Command the devil to turn loose of your harvest. Mark 3:27 says ‘No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house”. We have the promise that in the last days, “The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just”, Proverbs 13:22. If we are going to get the wealth, the Word lets us know that the strong man has to be taken care of. Other scriptures; Matthew 12:29 and Matthew 16:19. 3) Release the angels to bring in your harvest. Matthew 13:39 states “The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels”, and Matthew 4:11 reveals that “Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him”. We can see that this agrees with Hebrews 1:13-14 that says that the angels are sent to minister unto us, the hears of salvation. It is great to hear this revelation, but much better to put it into practice. Say this with me, “Father, I thank you that wealth and riches are in my house. Devil, I command you now to turn loose of my harvest. Angels, I release you to go forth and bring my harvest to me.
January 20072007, Wow! We are that much closer to the return of Jesus Christ. I realize that people have been saying how close we are, but in all reality we are close than we have ever been. I do believe that this is the last generation before He returns. With that being said, we have a lot of work to do before He comes! When I began seeking God about the year 2007 He gave me a very clear answer. A few days ago the Holy Spirit spoke to me these words, “Everything you have done has been preparation for 2007 and beyond. The sowing, the word, the plowing has been for this time. You have seen the harvest from a distance but you will now see it firsthand.” Praise God! I don’t believe that this word is only for me, it is a word the faithful in the Body of Christ. That’s You! I want to encourage you right now. The Word is very clear in Galatians 6:9, “If you don’t grow weary in well doing, you shall reap if you faint not.” I inquired a little deeper into what God was saying for this year and He gave me a picture to explain it. IF you are taking a cruise ship from New York to the Bahamas, the direction when you leave port is not really very vital. As long as you are headed in the general direction, south, you will be fine. But, when you are getting close to the destination your heading is vital. You may be saying, what doses this have to do with 2007? Well, I am glad you asked. I believe 2007 is a year of fine tuning the Will of God in each of our lives. I want to encourage each of you to take some time right now to seek God about His will for your life. You may be right in the center of His will or you may need a little directional change. Remember, the closer you get to your destination the more accurate your heading has to be.
November - December 2006It’s almost December! The Christmas season already. Before I share the message that God has laid on my heart for this month I want to remind you of the “reason for the season”. The entire world sets aside this time each year to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Remember that this is what Christmas is all about. It seems that every so often the Holy Spirit has me emphasize basic areas of our walk of faith. I guess from my own experience I have learned that in the middle of a battle it is not some new revelation that I need. When I look at my life and what I have been doing, it is usually some basic principle of faith that I have let slip. The Holy Spirit knew what He was talking about when He said;” Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip” Hebrews 2:1 “It is the little foxes that spoil the vine” Song of Solomon 2:15. God has been dealing with me again about the power of my words. You may say, “Yeah, Yeah we know that”, but if we truly understand what power our words carried we would talk much different than we do. “Death and life is in the power of the tongue, Proverbs 18:21. Do we actually believe that? We know that it is true and we must implement it into our everyday lives. One area that I realize people struggle with is when they begin to confess the Word; they feel like they are lying. Pastor, “I don’t have any money but you keep telling me to say, “Wealth and riches are in my house”. Isn’t that lying? Or maybe you have pain in your body and feel guilty saying “I am healed. Let’s look at how God does things. If you can see the way God stands in faith then you can do the same in your life. As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were Romans 4:17. Wow, God is lying or is He? God cannot lie, right? So this can not be a lie. We have to have the same understanding that does concerning our situations. The Word of God is the final authority in our lives. We have to know that the Word is more true than our circumstances! Remember to check out our web site @ www.graceofbeattyville.org. You can listen or download any of the services, see upcoming events, download the latest series and even get directions from your door to the church. Remember, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, Romans 10:17.
October 2006October 10, 2006
Greetings in the Mighty Name of Jesus,
Wow, October already! There is no question we are living in a time of acceleration. We are seeing God do miraculous things on a daily basis. And He is doing them quickly. We have to keep our expectation at a high level to see all that God wants to do in our lives. The Word says that “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come” 2 Timothy 3:1. We are in those times! Almost on a daily basis we hear of shootings and other acts of outrageous violence. We are seeing it in the schools, where God is not welcome. It is not an accident that God has been taken out of school and violence and sin are rampant. What are you trying to say Pastor? I am telling you that we live in a day when we have to walk in a level of faith like never before. It is only faith that is going to keep us in these last days. I want to encourage you this month and form now on to stir yourselves up in your most Holy Faith. It is a time when the Church needs to rise up and take a stand for righteousness like never before. We have sat back like sleeping giants letting the world and the prince of the power of the air dictate our daily lives to us. Enough is enough. Rise up Church and take back what belongs to us! Coming up in November is a very important election. It is the midterm elections and many people overlook this one. I am telling you don’t! We need to get out and support the candidates that stand for things we stand for. It still amazes me how many people in the Body of Christ have no knowledge or desire to be involved with the political process. If you are no involved you have no right to complain about the process. GET INVOLVED!
September 2006Greetings in the Mighty Name of Jesus, It is so good to write to you again this month. It has been a very busy summer season and great things are being accomplished in the kingdom of God! We are seeing people healed and delivered on a regular basis. What a time to be alive. I was listening to a message from Bill Winston a few days ago and a scripture he read just jumped out at me. I mean it came alive to me and I saw it in a way that I had not seen it before. The verse is 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 which says “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? Weymouth’s New Testament says it this way, “as mere men”. Can you see that, we are not called to walk as mere men? You have been translated from the power of darkness to the kingdom of His dear Son, Colossians 1:13. When you read Ephesians chapter 2 you realize that we “used to walk according to the course of this world”. See that, we USED TO. We are called to walk, not according to the course or pattern that the world dictates. We have a higher calling or course to walk by. We have to stop letting the world and circumstances and the situations we face on a daily basis dictate our lives to us. It is time for the Body of Christ to receive the revelation of who we are in Christ. We are a new creation in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17. You are not who or even what you used to be. God has made you something that never existed before. You have power and authority that you never had before. NOW WALK IN IT! I guess what I am really trying to get across to you is that we out up with too much in our lives. Gad has given us all authority that He has given to His Son Jesus. Jesus said “The works that I do, will you do also, and greater works…John 14:12. Take your authority over your finances. Take your authority over your bodies; don’t let sickness and pain have any place in your life. Take authority over your family, your job, over every area of your life!
August 2006
July 2006It is an honor to write to my partners again this month. My family and I just returned from our ministry time in Brussels Belgium. God did miraculous things the entire time we were there. We saw healings every service! God is doing great things all over the world and it is honor to be a part of it. When we arrived, Pastor Jean-Paul began to tell us about the change in his church and congregation since we ministered last year. In the morning services I taught on prosperity and preached faith at night. Nearly everyone in the church has seen financial increase since that time. New cars, better jobs, more money than they had before! It works anywhere people will get a hold of it and work it. Last time on our way to the airport, I was directed by the Holy Spirit to talk to the pastor about taking a salary from the church. He was not open to it and explained that there was no way he could do that. The Lord would not let me stop pushing it. It is a biblical principal to take care of the man of God. This year he testified that he began taking a salary shortly after we left. It was difficult but they continued taking it. After a short period of time the finances of the church began to sky rocket! Now the church has more money that they have ever had before. Praise God! He told me that he is the only Pastor in Brussels that he knows of that actually receives a salary from the church. Now pastors are contacting him to ask how the church can afford to pay him a salary. He now has the opportunity to preach prosperity to people that were never open to it before. The Word of God tells us that people are supposed to come and ask us what the hope that we have is. God is performing His Word just like he promised! Thank you for partnering with us in the ministry God has given us. Remember, Paul said in Philippians chapter 1 that you all are partakers of my grace because of your fellowship in the gospel.
June 2006What a year we are having. God has said that this is a year of fulfillment and we are seeing just that. Lives are changing, bodies are being healed, finances are being increased and so much more. I trust that you are seeing the same manifestations in your lives too! I have been studying Philippians chapter 4 again recently. It always amazes me to see the new revelation that God gives when I study scriptures that I have studied so many times in the past. In particular I have looked at verse 15, "Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only". It is interesting that Paul points out that this church communicated with him concerning "giving and receiving", not only giving. This fits with verse 17 when Paul said,"Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account". God wants us to understand the covenant relationship that we have in our financial partnerships. In America we really do not have a strong understanding of covenant. We have lawyers that specialize in contract law, or the ability to break covenant. This is not how God designed us to be. We are covenant people. When you are in covenant each one has a responsibility and a reward of the covenant. In other words, there is something to give and something to receive. I don't think that Philippi was the only church that gave to Paul, but they were the only church that truly understood the "give and receiving" relationship with their Man of God. They understood that because they financially supported Paul, they could expect to receive not only the financial blessing but also the spiritual blessing. Paul told the church that because of the partnership they were "partakers of his grace" Philippians 1:7b. Wow, what a promise. What God was doing in Paul's life was available to the Philippian church. Don't miss out on anything that God has provided for you. Partnership is a powerful tool that God has give the Body of Christ!
May 2006Can you believe that it is already May?! We are definitely living in a time of acceleration. God is doing so many great things, many times it is difficult to keep track. We are seeing people’s lives changed by the Word of God on a regular basis. Bodies being healed, finances being increased, families put together and so much more. The Holy Spirit has had me teaching on the subject of fulfilling the call of God. I want to share some insight on that subject with you this month. I have listened to people for years tell me that they have a call of God on their lives. I am realizing more and more how little that actually means. Matthew 22:14 says,” Many are called, but few are chosen”. So you can see that the call goes out to many but only “a few” actually fulfill the call. We have to realize that there are requirements that must be met if we are going to go from being called to being chosen. When we look at the Apostle Paul’s life we see someone that fulfilled the call. In 2 Timothy 4:7 Paul says, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”. When you study his life you see a man that desired to meet the requirements to be chosen. After he was saved he went off for 3 years to Arabia to study the Word of God, Galatians 1:13-19. After the time with God he went “up to Jerusalem to talk with the apostles about what he had received from God. Paul made sure that what he had received lined up with what the apostles were teaching. Paul was in divine order to those that were placed over him in the Lord. I believe that this is one of the most important requirements that must be met in order to be chosen, YOU MUST BE A PERSON THAT UNDERSTANDS AND WALKS IN DIVINE ORDER! There are no Lone Rangers in the Body of Christ. We are designed to operate as a body with one head. Beloved, God wants to use you more than you want to be used, but you have to submit to His way of doing things first. You cannot come to God with your own agenda and expect God to bless it. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God…” That means God’s way is the ONLY WAY! Not an option, but the only choice.
March 2006It is truly an honor to consider you a partner in this ministry. I do not take it lightly that you have committed yourself to the furtherance of the Gospel together with me. We are seeing many lives touched and changed with the Power and Word of God! Thank you for fellowship together with me in seeing this accomplished. Over the past few weeks, God has been speaking to me about harvest. He said, "You need to learn to recognize the harvest". I thought, you have to be kidding, if there is one thing I know, it is when harvest has come. How may know that when God says something like that, there is probably something I was missing. I began to seek God concerning the harvest and I saw what I was missing. Genesis 26:12 says that "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him." We like it when the manifestation comes in all at once, but how many of you know that many times it comes in pieces. Now look at John 6:11-12, "And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost." Notice, Jesus told the disciples to gather the fragments. There are times that the harvest comes in fragments. Many times we get discouraged because our manifestation does not come to us in one lump sum. We must learn to recognize when the pieces of our harvest come in. When you see it coming this way you develop a lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving. What a difference this makes in the regularity of our harvest. I want to see you walking in everything God has supplied for you. Learning to recognize the harvest when it comes is a large part of reaping on a regular basis. Be blessed!
February 2006Dear Partner, Greetings in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! Wow, what a year already. We have seen some great breakthroughs already this year and it is only February. We have just come out of the 2006 Advance at Grace Fellowship of Lexington and it was the best one yet. The Word and Anointing were as powerful as I can remember. I can never get enough of the Word or of the Anointing! Can you? The Holy Spirit has had me in studying an area that I believe is vital to the Body of Christ. I have been studying James 2:14 which says “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? (KJV). It is interesting when you really study that verse, it is not only telling us to be sure we do something to show we have faith. When you look at it in another translation, it sheds a little more light on what is being said. What good is it, my brethren, if a man professes to have faith, and yet his actions do not correspond? Can such faith save him? (WNT) Notice that it is not just any action, but corresponding action. I remember quite a few years ago when we were really struggling financially. I was giving away everything I could get my hands on. The only problem was that we were no making it. I went to the Lord and asked what was going on. I will never forget His answer, mainly because I did not like it at all. He said, “Jim, you are giving far beyond your level of faith”. I let Him know how much I didn’t agree with that, but He did not change His mind, I changed mine! The true problem was not the amount I was sowing, but the amount of faith I had behind my sowing. I t was then that I began to realize that many people get frustrated and even quit the walk of faith because it seems like it is not working. It is not working because your actions are not corresponding with YOUR faith. The answer is not to stop walking in faith actions. There are a couple of answers to that problem. #1) Make sure you are not taking actions that don’t correspond with your faith. Many times we see someone else take a step of faith and decide we will do that same thing. Is your faith at that level? #2) Be sure that you are doing everything you can to increase your faith. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”
January 2006Dear Partner,
Isn’t it amazing? It is already 2006! It seems that we were just bringing in the New Year of 2005 last week. There is no question that we are living in a time of acceleration. God is doing so many things so quickly; sometimes it seems difficult just to keep up with Him. We have seen so many manifestations over the past few weeks that I am in great anticipation for the New Year. I know that you are too! I know this because God “declares the end from the beginning”, Isaiah 46:10. I have been seeking God about what the New Year holds for each of us. I never used to think New Year’s was that big of a deal. It was just another day to me. The longer I walk with God, the more I realize that there are distinct spiritual changes from year to year. When I asked God about the coming year, He said that this year is a year of requirement. I began to study the scripture to get a better understanding of what He is saying to the Body of Christ. Luke 12:48 states that “to whom much is given, much is required”, paraphrased. The Word is full of promises, as a matter of fact, 2 Peter 1:3-says that He has given us “all things that pertain onto life and godliness” and “great and precious promises”. We have to realize that there are requirements that have to be met in order to receive these promises into our life. It is necessary to walk in “the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”. It is not the fact that you know that Word but that you walk in the knowledge. Let’s look at another example; Galatians 6:9 says “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. We see in this verse that the requirement to receive Due Season is that we can’t grow weary or faint, and that we have to continue doing well. What I am saying is that we are going to have more required of us in the coming year because we have been given much. It is time to put the necessary action to our faith. James reminds us in chapter 2 verse 17 that: “faith without works is dead, being alone”. It is time to get out and DO!
December 2005
Last week as my wife and I were returning from Texas, the Holy Spirit spoke to me concerning the messages I would be preaching to my congregation. He said, “Tell the people that I love them”. I said, “Lord, they know you love them”. The Holy Spirit replied, “I SAID, TELL THEM THAT I LOVE THEM!” This time I got the message. I have begun to preach a series of messages on the Love of God. The Holy Spirit just continues to pour out revelation in the area of His love. In Ephesians chapter 3, Paul explains in verses 17 thru 19 that we need revelation of God’s love. It takes revelation for us to comprehend the love that God has for us. As matter of fact, in verse 19 that if we don’t know the love of Christ we will not walk in the fullness of God. Without the full understanding of the love God has towards we will always wonder, Am I okay? Is God upset or disappointed in me? Psychologists explain that when a child understands that his parents unconditionally love them, they grow up with a greater level of confidence. They realize that even if I fail, my parents still love me. With that understanding they will try things that others won’t. The Word declares that if we as earthly fathers know how to give good gifts to our kids, how much more our heavenly Father. When you receive the revelation that God unconditionally loves you, watch out! You realize that wherever you go, whatever you do, your heavenly Father loves you. And you cannot change that. PRAISE GOD!
November 2005I want to thank you for your prayer and financial support; together we are impacting this area with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Word of God declares in Psalm 34:19,”Many are the afflictions of the righteous, BUT the Lord delivers us from the ALL!” God does not promise that the Christian walk is free from battles, but He does promise that by His Word He will deliver us from every one. We need to remind ourselves that James 1:2 tells us to “count it all joy…” We can count it all joy because we know how the battle comes out. “He is the God that always causes us to triumph!” 2 Corinthians 2:14. That means that if we don’t quit, it is not over until we win. Too many Christians give up just because things didn’t go the way they thought it should. That is the problem, people are thinking too much instead of meditating on the Word of God. Romans 12:2 promises that if we change the way that we think, or think on the right things, that we will not be like the world. The world has no hope, but we have a hope that is the anchor to our soul, Hebrews 6:19. No matter what the circumstances, no matter what things look or fell like, we know that it is not over until we win! Once again, thank you for your partnership with this ministry. Together we can affect the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. |
